Product Drawing

Put together a holiday gift basket or a monthly product drawing. Product drawings or giveaways are a fantastic way to generate new leads and bookings. The resulting sales and team building is amazing!

When you are collecting slips from others rather than talking directly with someone, it's important to make notes as to who collected it for you and the circumstance so that you can tailor the script in the beginning and they don't think you are a telemarketer.

For example, when I have a hostess or a reorder customer collecting slips for me, I mention up front during the call back "I am Julie with Mary Kay and I am Laura Smith's Beauty Consultant."  If someone is collecting slips for me, I make sure I get their name and mention at the very beginning " . . . Tina  collected your entry while I was dining at (the Restaurant) where you work."

Remember: Calling within 24 to 48 hours dramatically increases your results because people still remember filling out the form!

Other Ideas:

  • Give out to anyone: "You've been so nice, I'd love to enter you in my (Holiday) Drawing for a $100 Gift Basket!"

  • Deliver to all your neighbors with a return envelope and a personal note

  • Give an incentive to your hostess to collect them along with outside orders for her Show.

  • Put in your reorders and offer a $2 credit for each one returned to you.  Always include a self-addressed payment envelope in your reorders.  They can either return payment - or their slips!

  • Whenever you go somewhere where you will be hanging out for a while (Coffee Shop, Restaurant, Bookstore, Doctors/Dentist, etc.), ask an employee how many women are working there when you first arrive.  Let them know about the drawing, give them enough slips, and tell them you will be hanging out for a while and will come back to pick them up on your way out.

  • Use them as the entry slip for facial boxes you put out or for any booth events you do!
